Description

The opportunity:
The

purpose of this role is to oversee and coordinate new business projects between
customer, production, technical, sales, supply chain and other areas of the
business to successfully introduce new products within Westrock.

This will be achieved by assuring that customer orders
and new business projects are prepared, planned and managed well through
production to final delivery, ensuring rapid and effective response to new
enquiries, whilst optimising our profit levels and managing costs to deliver
expected value to Westrock.


How you will impact WestRock:

Responsible for full project co-ordination of new product development
Manage new enquiry pricing and quotations
Oversee artwork & technical reviews and prepare feedback to customer
Set up and maintain new items and customer orders
Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of customer account, forecast orders and relevant administration
New business reporting weekly/monthly basis
Coordinate innovations, customer sampling, mock ups
Promote a customer focussed philosophy at all levels of the site.
Responsible for raising, processing and managing customer's orders.
Process estimating requests and liaise with Business Development Managers on cost and project management information for onward advisement to customer
Investigate and resolve invoice, credit and customer complaints/queries
Responsible for the smooth and effective organisation of all administration procedures for the business
Use web-based and manual management information system to support all aspects of the customer service function
Ensure customer terms are adhered to and aged stocks are controlled and invoiced accordingly
Work closely with Supply Chain to monitor and maintain raw materials and finished goods to Service Level Agreements parameters
Critical path management to ensure orders are met and timelines adhered to


What you need to succeed:

Demonstrable track record of achievement in New Business/Customer Service, ideally in a dynamic, fast paced manufacturing environment.
Strong technical understanding within a print/packaging/manufacturing environment.

Commercial awareness, particularly with relevance to reducing working capital costs, and maximising operational effectiveness and efficiency in a high speed, quick turnaround manufacturing environment.

Highly customer focussed, coupled with the ability to generate an optimal position that balances delivering exceptional levels of customer service with an optimised manufacturing environment.

Ability to challenge status quo and motivate others to embrace change
Strong project management skills and understanding
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Programmes
