Our Client is looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join the team.Role Responsibilities:
Provide portfolio management reports which evaluate the risk profile of the customer base.
- Develop and monitor risk strategies which maximise revenue whilst minimising bad debt on new and existing business lines.
- Build and maintain relationships with Central Risk, Finance, Marketing and external teams, whilst delivering new lending strategies within the agreed risk appetite.
- Plan, control and deliver assigned projects, and participate as appropriate in cross functional projects and investigations, ensuring requirements are delivered to plan.
- Ensure key risk management information is in place in order to support business direction within agreed risk appetite.
- Identify areas of cost reduction, service and process improvements that will results in adding value to the business whilst treating customers fairly.
- Perform a health check of all credit portfolios against internal and external benchmarks, summarising performance of credit risk strategies, emerging trends and issues for monthly committees.
- Conduct indepth exploratory analysis on different client segments and portfolios, assessing KPI's and ensuring outputs produced are accurate and of a high standard.
- Liaise with Operational teams to ensure that policies and procedures are being complied with in an efficient manner.
- As requested, liaise with other departments or external organisations e.g. Credit Bureau on any current or future initiatives.
- Liaise with all levels of seniority across the business
- Keep abreast of new developments and regulatory issues.
Role Requirements:
- Educated to degree level or higher
- Can independently code in at least one of the following programming language; SAS, SQL or Python
- Strong experience in Microsoft Excel
- Good knowledge of Statistics
- Communication skills verbal and written
- Presentation skills
- Strong analytical background
- Prioritise and organise for self and others
- Generate ideas to challenge existing business practices
- Think outside own area of responsibility
- Take initiative and ownership of work
- Build relationships internally and externally
- Flexible with business needs
- Evidence planning and managing Projects
- Supervise and train junior analysts if required
