Our Client is looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join the team.


Role Responsibilities:
Provide portfolio management reports which evaluate the risk profile of the customer base.

  • Develop and monitor risk strategies which maximise revenue whilst minimising bad debt on new and existing business lines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Central Risk, Finance, Marketing and external teams, whilst delivering new lending strategies within the agreed risk appetite.
  • Plan, control and deliver assigned projects, and participate as appropriate in cross functional projects and investigations, ensuring requirements are delivered to plan.
  • Ensure key risk management information is in place in order to support business direction within agreed risk appetite.
  • Identify areas of cost reduction, service and process improvements that will results in adding value to the business whilst treating customers fairly.
  • Perform a health check of all credit portfolios against internal and external benchmarks, summarising performance of credit risk strategies, emerging trends and issues for monthly committees.
  • Conduct indepth exploratory analysis on different client segments and portfolios, assessing KPI's and ensuring outputs produced are accurate and of a high standard.
  • Liaise with Operational teams to ensure that policies and procedures are being complied with in an efficient manner.
  • As requested, liaise with other departments or external organisations e.g. Credit Bureau on any current or future initiatives.
  • Liaise with all levels of seniority across the business
  • Keep abreast of new developments and regulatory issues.

Role Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or higher
  • Can independently code in at least one of the following programming language; SAS, SQL or Python
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Good knowledge of Statistics
  • Communication skills verbal and written
  • Presentation skills
  • Strong analytical background
  • Prioritise and organise for self and others
  • Generate ideas to challenge existing business practices
  • Think outside own area of responsibility
  • Take initiative and ownership of work
  • Build relationships internally and externally
  • Flexible with business needs
  • Evidence planning and managing Projects
  • Supervise and train junior analysts if required
