Roadhogs Recruitment has a new vacancy for a Senior Pig Stockperson on a farm in Devon (EX14).
The unit is looking to employ either a competent pig manager or a very competent stockman.
The modern indoor unit has 7000 finishers from weaning, wet feed controlled environment, and can achieve the highest performance. They operate a 3-week batch system, all-in-all-out. The units are fully slatted controlled environments and computerised mill, vent & feeding. No actual specialised machinery is used other than a yard forklift.
Hours are usually 7am - 5pm, with some early pig loadings. Occasionally weekend work.
Salary:
£25,000 - £30,000 DOE + a 2-bed house.
