Eden Brown Built Environment are working with a Housing Organisation who are

looking for ASB Officers across regions Essex, Kent and Sussex.

  • Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to colleagues in respect of ASB and in more complex case work.
  • To develop appropriate responses and solutions to ASB in conjunction with internal and external partners and coordinate their implementation across the business.
  • Ensure that effective liaison arrangements are in place with the Council's Community Safety Units. Legal Services, Probation Services, the Police and other relevant partners and agencies.
  • To ensure that services that we deliver are resident focused and responsive to local needs. Working closely with the Community Development Team and encouraging involvement and feedback as an integral part of the service. This may include the need to attend evening meetings.
  • To ensure a speedy and focused response to anti social behaviour and other breaches of tenancy conditions. Action to be realistic, fast and efficient and supported by an effective action plan.
  • To take ownership and responsibility for any service related complaints/queries from customers ensuring that the customer experience is positive, professional and within set timescales at all times.
  • To research and report on recent legislative and regulatory changes and make recommendations on best practice.
  • To reduce legal costs we incur by undertaking DIY legal work, preparing bundles for Court and to represent in Court
  • To maintain up to date and accessible case records, to include using computer systems and databases, as well as existing systems.
  • To deputise for Housing Officers as and when required
  • A sound knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation and best practice, supported by practical experience.
  • Expertise in the creation and implementation of an effective ASB strategy, utilising a range of legal and nonlegal process and procedures.
  • A sound knowledge of legislation and Housing management practice relating to the management of ASB.
  • An understanding of data protection legislation as it relates to the use of CCTV in ASB strategies.
Housing related qualification to NVQ L3, or a willingness to study
