Description

Job Purpose

  • To support the teams, across the Facilities Division, both north and south, to ensure compliance with Legislation, Statutory Regulations, Codes of Practice and Good Industry Practice and the FM contract across all of the Facilities Division portfolio.

Aims and Objectives

  • To ensure contracts stay contractually compliant.
  • To ensure contracts stay compliant with Legislation, Statutory Regulations, Codes of Practice and Good Industry Practice.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk;
  • Ensure Health and Safety processes and procedures at all nominated sites are fully in place and being adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance reviews are carried out on both operational and support functions
  • Collaborate with the Client, Local Authority Managers, Facilities Managers and HSE team to direct compliance issues through appropriate channels for investigation and resolution.
  • Monitor the performance of the compliance programme and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness and identify trends.
  • Ensure reviews are completed in accordance with the review programme
  • Undertake site audits to identify potential areas of nonconformance with regards to systems and procedures and contract deliverable compliance assist with creation of documentation as required to support compliance.
  • Participate in client audits and assist the Operations Team in providing documentary evidence as required.
  • Compile reports on audits undertaken, to keep the Operations Managers informed of the operation and progress of compliance.
  • Review and maintain input to Site Master File / PEP process.
  • Liaise with the Management Team to enhance staff training programmes, in line with industry legislative requirement.
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably requested by SPIE senior management.

Person Specification

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
The knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel.

Desirable

  • Understanding of HSE legislation
  • Understanding of quality systems and ISO standards.
  • IOSH qualification.
  • Auditor experience or qualification.
  • NEBOSH certificate.
