Marketing & Communications (MarComs) is a dynamic business area with responsibility for leading BNP Paribas to become the number one brand in Securities Services.

The UK MarComs team implements global strategy locally, adapting according to market-specific needs, and shares local initiatives with the global team for potential use in other markets.

This is achieved through marketing, internal and external communications, and events.

The postholder will develop and execute the Securities Services business line's marketing & communications plan for the UK and Middle East, ensuring we have a compelling and highly visible story, in line with the global one, and pushed to our clients, staff and stakeholders across the full range of channels (events, digital & social, support documents for sales teams, location manager town halls etc)


You will support business development teams for key deals, at the various stages of the sales cycle and foster staff engagement across the UK and Middle East.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate definition and implementation of local priorities within the scope of the marketing and communications marketing plans defined with the client segments, business lines and Client Development
  • Execute marketing & communication measures to support global brand objectives
  • Develop accountbased marketing campaigns for strategic clients (mini client web sites, supports for strategic meetings, bespoke videos, dedicated client events, ) and reinforce best communication/marketing approach in RFPs and due diligence
  • Provide standard client communication material for specific mailings
  • Adhoc support to the client development team in preparing meetings with clients to highlight industry trends, thought leadership information, control accuracy of information and how it is communicated internally
  • Animating a collaborative yet productive marketing and communication governance, bringing together local management, product & Client Development teams
  • Support the asset servicing brand attributes of BNP Paribas in the UK and Middle East by ensuring a regular flow of content and news that demonstrate our expertise
  • Manage the programme of industry and client events that while foster our market visibility while providing sales & relationship managers with opportunities for valuable conversations with clients and prospects
  • Lead external communication initiatives in the UK and Middle East (thought leadership content, press releases, paid articles, media interview opportunities, social media promotion etc)
  • Coordinate participation in local industry surveys and Global Client Satisfaction survey to ensure best results
  • Develop and use internal channels to promote key messages that inform, educate and engage staff
  • Liaise with BNP Paribas internal communications community (Securities Services and UK Territory) to ensure alignment, idea sharing and use of best practice.
  • Actively contributing to the global Securities Services marketing & communications governance
  • Actively contributing to the CIB UK communications governance
  • Manage a team of 3 staff 2 Marketing Managers and 1 external communications manager

The Requirements
A thought-leader combining leadership with hands-on approach, the Head of Marketing &Communications for UK and Middle East will display a wide range of skills and competencies:
