Description

Responsibilities:

Support the pupil with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene
Assist with communication and language development
Help the pupil to participate in educational activities and access the curriculum
Work closely with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to support the pupil's needs
Provide a safe and stimulating environment for the pupil to learn and develop
Help to maintain accurate records of the pupil's progress and share information with relevant staff and parents

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children with PMLD or similar needs
Strong understanding of the needs of pupils with PMLD
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A positive and flexible approach to working with children with complex needs
A relevant qualification in teaching assistant, special education or similar field
