MoneyWeek is one of the most respected and most trusted investment and personal finance websites in the UK.

Aimed at private investors, we cover all areas of investing from shares, bonds, funds and property to commodities, precious metals, currencies and emerging markets.

We also help our audiences with their wider personal finances, from how to get the best mortgage and bank account to choosing the right broker, and much more.


We're looking for an Online Writer with a keen interest in and knowledge of investing and personal finance, to help us create more content, come up with ideas, update our existing content to keep it "evergreen", monitor the topics that are driving traffic, optimise new and existing content and set up our daily newsletter.


What you'll be doing


As Online Writer at MoneyWeek, you'll be comfortable writing about personal finance, pensions, investments and property, and explaining these topics in plain English to help our audience make the most of their money.

You'll also be covering news.


Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • A strong interest in and understanding of the investment and personal finance sector.
  • An ability to deliver high quality content quickly and efficiently, with a relentless approach to delivery and an eye for detail.
  • An ability to write through different lenses for various audiences adapting tone and writing style to fit with a variety of brands.
  • Experience analysing the intricate nature of financial products to be able to help readers understand the best deals for them.
  • Comfortable with producing plain English copy by breaking down complex financial jargon.
  • A familiarity with SEO best practices and analyticsdriven content strategy.
  • Understand and embrace social media and other evolving digital platforms.
