The Role:

You will join a market-leading Real Estate team as an Associate in the firm's City of London office.
You can expect to be involved in complex and high-value work (see the main duties listed below). You will have hands-on exposure to transactions and the opportunity to build client relationships from day one.

You will also be supported by leading lawyers and an award-winning L&D function to develop your technical and commercial ability while following a transparent progression path.

In addition, complete flexibility is offered, with most people splitting their time evenly between home and office.

The main duties will include:

Advising on and negotiating licences to assign, to underlet and for alterations.
Advising on and negotiating agreements for lease. The agreements may be conditional on landlord/tenant works and/or planning consent. This will involve liaising with the planning and construction teams;
Advising on and negotiating leases. This will be a mixture of acting for Landlord's in relation to investment properties and for tenant occupiers;
Advising on and negotiating deeds of variation;
Advising on and negotiating rent deposit deeds;
Assisting with portfolio sales as part of a wider real estate team. Including reporting and involvement in the main sale contract which may be an asset sale or share sale agreement;
Dealing with the lender in relation to the financing of a purchase. This would involve dealing with reports/certificates of title and liaising with the finance team. The finance team will handle the finance documents.

Requirements:

This role would suit a Real Estate Lawyer between 6 years PQE
Investment & Development experience gained at a leading city or regional law firm
Keen to develop your skills and progress your career
Strong academic background
