Description
Foothold Cymru is a social justice organisation. Established over 30 years ago, our vision is to create strong, cohesive communities where individuals have the power to thrive and not just survive. To do this we address both the causes and symptoms of poverty and inequality by designing our services with, not for, individuals and communities most affected by these issues, so they have the skills to overcome challenges and develop resilience.

Sefydliad cyfiawnder cymdeithasol yw Foothold Cymru. Wedi'i sefydlu dros 30 mlynedd yn ôl, ein gweledigaeth yw creu cymunedau cryf, cydlynus lle mae gan unigolion y pŵer i ffynnu a nid dim ond goroesi. I wneud hyn rydym yn mynd i'r afael ag achosion a symptomau tlodi ac anghydraddoldeb drwy ddylunio ein gwasanaethau gyda ac nid ar gyfer, unigolion a chymunedau yr effeithir arnynt fwyaf gan y materion hyn, felly bod ganddynt y sgiliau i oresgyn heriau a datblygu cadernid.

**About the Project/Service**

Foothold Community Food Hub is a sustainable, community-led response to the cost-of-living crisis, which has been co-produced with local people living in poverty. Unlike many emergency response measures, it is designed to give our community agency and control, build on local strengths, and to develop a model which can be adapted, shared and scaled. Specifically, we will work with 150 households within Llanelli to:

- Improve people's ability to access low-cost, healthy food
- Increase knowledge, skills and behaviours related to healthy eating and minimising food waste
- Decrease social isolation and increase people's connection to support
- Empower local people as volunteers and leaders within a community-led response to food poverty.

The project has several interdependent elements including:
a. Community Food Store & Community Fridge

b. A Food Delivery Scheme

c. Food Resilience Programme to support families to reduce their reliance on crisis support

d. Community Growing Scheme to supply our food store.

**Ynglŷn â'r Prosiect / Gwasanaeth**

Ymateb cynaliadwy, a arweinir gan y gymuned i'r argyfwng costau byw yw Hwb Bwyd Cymunedol Foothold, sydd wedi'i gyd-gynhyrchu gyda phobl leol sy'n byw mewn tlodi. Yn wahanol i lawer o fesurau ymateb brys, mae wedi'i gynllunio i roi grym a rheolaeth i'n cymuned, adeiladu ar gryfderau lleol, a datblygu model y gellir ei addasu, ei rannu a'i ehangu. Yn benodol, byddwn yn gweithio gyda 150 o aelwydydd o fewn Llanelli i:

- Gwella gallu pobl i gael mynediad at fwyd iach, cost isel
- Cynyddu gwybodaeth, sgiliau ac ymddygiadau sy'n gysylltiedig â bwyta'n iach a lleihau gwastraff bwyd
- Lleihau unigrwydd cymdeithasol a chynyddu cysylltiad pobl i gefnogaeth
- Grymuso pobl leol fel gwirfoddolwyr ac arweinwyr o fewn ymateb a arweinir yn y gymuned i dlodi bwyd.

Mae sawl elfen gyd-ddibynnol i'r prosiect gan gynnwys:
a. Siop Fwyd Gymunedol ac Oergell Gymunedol

b. Cynllun Dosbarthu Bwyd

c. Rhaglen Cadernid Bwyd i gefnogi teuluoedd i leihau eu dibyniaeth ar gymorth argyfwng

d. Cynllun Tyfu Cymunedol i gyflenwi ein siop fwyd
