THE COMPANY


An exciting mobile gaming studio, with founders coming from some of the biggest names in the gaming industry, this company have tripled in value after a successful funding round and now have that sought-after unicorn status.

They've grown successfully recentlyand are now looking to add to their Data Science team.

Sitting across the business, working closely with Product and Marketing teams, the Data Science function plays a key role in the growth of the company.


THE ROLE


Part of a team of 8, under a new Director, the Data Scientist will work closely with product and marketing teams, providing valuable insights derived from their masses of customer data.

They're creating statistical and machine learning models to predictcustomer journeys, and deciding what content to promote, and how best to market to new customers.

They're looking at expanding on their use of ML through advanced recommender systems, anomaly detection and real-time decision making, and are looking for people with experience in these areas


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with customerfocused Machine Learning techniques
  • Classification, Segmentation, Personalisation etc.
  • Strong statistical knowledge, practical A/B testing experience
  • Proficiency with Python and SQL, as well as a tool for visualising data (Tableau/Looker/Qlik/PowerBI )
  • Experience in the gaming industry would be ideal, but not a requirement
  • The drive to work in a fastpaced, startup style environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
