DGS Hardware is a privately owned manufacturing company based in Melbourne, Derbyshire and is part of DGS Group who have 200 staff and a network of 11 UK and Ireland branches.

The window hinges made at DGS are renowned in the window and door industry as being of the highest specification and quality.

DGS Hardware are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join their Melbourne team.

Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am - 1.30pm.

Overtime is also available.

Salary is £9.50 per hour.

This role is working in an ISO9001 factory operating a variety of machinery assembling metal components to make window hinges and associated ancillary items.

You will also be required to check components to ensure there are no defects and that they are within specifications provided, and to move components around the factory.

Requirements of this position are:

• For health and safety purposes to have a sound understanding of both written and spoken English.
• Be able to pay attention to detail and follow instructions.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Be an effective team member and have good communication skills.
• Able to learn and understand new processes in a timely manner.
• The job involves heavy lifting at times.
• To assist in other areas of production as and when required and within your capabilities.
• The flexibility to maintain a good pace of work as priorities and requirements change.
