Hours - Monday - Friday 40 hours per week
We are currently recruiting a Registered Manager on behalf of our client to join a long-established team, motivated to deliver high standards of personalised care in supporting the welfare and development of the children/young people in their care.
This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals looking to join a dedicated and supportive team within our company in Stockport.
Responsibilities will include:
- Always behave in a professional manner with sensitivity, dignity and respect towards children, staff, other professionals and service users in accordance with the role of the Registered Manager.
- Ensure the highest standards of care takes place at all times / Establishing and monitoring high quality standards of care.
- Ensuring that each young person has a plan which reflects his / her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs and that this plan is regularly reviewed.
- Developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive.
- Devise and implement individual and team learning and development plans in conjunction with professional and organisational requirements.
- Ensure all policies and procedures in relation to children, staff, and others (professionals & visitors) are promoted.
- Ensure the implementation/monitoring of all designated areas of the child(rens) care plan in accordance with Ofsted standards, regulations and the child's LAC plans.
- Chair regular team meetings.
- Ensure that all records are properly maintained in conjunction with the requirements of data protection and human rights legislation and regulation.
- Ensure that confidentiality is always maintained in respect of organisational policies in respect of children and staff
Person Specification:
- Level 5 Management qualification or working towards it is essential.
- Ability to undertake Ofsted Registration Process.
- Childcare legislation and Safeguarding knowledge.
- Understanding the needs of complex children and young people
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
- 2 years recent experience working with children in a residential care setting
- At least 2 years at management level in residential care
