Zenith People are working with our client who have an opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join them on a permanent basis.

Acting as the main H&S Contact within the business, and striving to ensure the organisation complies with Healthand Safety & Environmental legislation whilst working alongside Business Managers to implement policies & procedures this is a key role.

**Duties include:
- **Implement Health & Safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements, such as accident reporting and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).

To ensure the Company's Health, Safety & Environmental Policy is implemented and monitored consistently.
To assist in the identification of training needs for employees and develop/deliver training as required. To support managers to maintain safe systems, providing specialist advice, coaching and practical support.
Ensure all contracting employees are compliant and work in accordance with site procedures.
To carryout audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health, safety & Environmental systems, and procedures, identify and implement improvements.
Investigate and to assist others to investigate the circumstances and causes of accidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.
To ensure routine Health & Safety activities and checks are carried out
Support the Quality team with ISO9001 auditing requirements.
