Description

To work as a maintenance team member for Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust, providing highly skilled installations, maintenance, testing, fault finding, repairs and improvements to building structures and other services, together with building fabric for all Trust properties and where the Trust operates a service level agreement to provide a service to 3 rd parties.

The work will be both complex and/or non-routine in nature, requiring the post holder to be flexible, adaptable and proactive to provide a customer focused service.


The post holder will remain aware of the effect and impact to the safety and comfort of patients/clients, staff and members of the public and the effect and impact to the environment resulting from their actions.

In addition there is a requirement to participate in overtime working for emergencies, e.g. fire alarms, heating failures, blocked drains and gritting of roads etc. By its very nature it may be necessary to attend work early or late in such circumstances.

The post holder will be required to participate in an on-call rota.


The post holder will carry out a multi skilled function, this will include in addition to the post holders core specialist skills, mechanical and building trades on equipment, buildings, and mechanical services within their level of professional competence.

The post holder is expected to work alongside other trades where necessary to complete maintenance tasks within the department.


All work will be carried out to a high standard in terms of workmanship, quality, efficiency and health & safety.

The post holder will be required to use a computer, either a stand alone or as part of a networked system, and will be responsible for the quality of information.

The amount of time spent on this type of work will depend on the job

The post holder will be required to take part in an annual performance appraisal, where this job description will be reviewed, and objectives set
