This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established OPMH service which includes a Community Mental Health Team, Memory Clinic, Home Treatment Team with a co-located Social Care service.

This is a varied job and gives you the opportunity to use and further develop a broad array of skills including leadership, management, collaboration and joint-working.


Location:

The post holder will be able to mix working from both the team base at Church Hill House and home, alongside visiting clients at home.

Free parking on site and electric car charging points.


Hours:
Working hours typically Monday to Friday 9-5.

To provide leadership and mentoring skills. You will provide clinical support and direction to the OPMH Service.

You will ensure that high clinical standards are maintained based on evidence based practice and in line with NICE guidelines.


Day to day operational running of the HTT and CMHT (OA) service and be expected to be self-governing and autonomous in decision making.

Team Leads will cover a daily Duty Senior rota and there may be times when you are required to support the Service Manager and deputise in their absence.


To work in collaboration with other stakeholders and to liaise effectively with colleagues within the service and outside agencies including the voluntary sector.

To contribute to audit and evaluation of the service's work and to support quality improvement projects.

To contribute to a review of how we can improve our service delivery to better support our service users.

You will provide clinical leadership for home treatment team staff and team of CPN's and CSW's.

This will include range of different aspects from supervisory responsibilities to holding a small complex caseload as and when required.

You will be part of wider service leadership team with opportunity to deliver outcomes, improve process's and develop the service.


There will be opportunities to further develop leadership and managerial skills via CPD, deputising for service manager and representing the service in wider meetings.

The 4 "must haves" for you to be considered for this role:
Degree in Mental Health Nursing/ RMN with NMC registration

Experience in, and passion for, working with older people and their families/carers.

Ability to remain calm during crisis situations and to be able to think on your feet.

Ability to work with people with complex and comorbid presentations, including cognitive impairment or physical health conditions.
