Future Shift is seeking a passionate and experienced sustainability professional/consultant who has experience (or in-depth knowledge) of the B Corp certification and the GHG protocol to join our team.


As a Sustainability Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our clients towards sustainable practices, achieving B Corp certification, and reducing their carbon footprint.

About the Role

  • London/Bristol Based
- £36k p/a starting Salary - could be negotiated dependent on experience

Responsibilities

B Corp Certification:


  • Lead clients through the B Corp certification process, from initial assessment to final certification.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' practices, policies, and performance against B Corp standards.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to clients for achieving and maintaining B Corp certification.
  • Collaborate with clients' teams to implement necessary changes and improvements to meet B Corp requirements.

Carbon Assessments:


  • Perform thorough carbon footprint assessments for clients, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, using our own platform for data collection.
  • Analyse data and identify opportunities for reducing carbon emissions and improving overall sustainability performance.
  • Develop tailored strategies and action plans to help clients minimise their carbon footprint and mitigate environmental impact.
  • Track progress and provide ongoing support to ensure successful implementation of carbon reduction initiatives.
  • Assist companies in navigating Net Zero, SBTi, CDP, and CRPs.

Consulting and Advisory Services:


  • Provide expert guidance and support to clients on a wide range of sustainabilityrelated issues, including waste management, energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable sourcing.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate sustainability principles into clients' business operations and decisionmaking processes.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:


  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor on sustainability matters.
  • Communicate effectively with clients at all levels, from executives to frontline staff, to drive engagement and alignment around sustainability goals.
  • Deliver engaging presentations, workshops, and training sessions to educate clients and raise awareness about sustainability issues and opportunities.

Commercial and Sales:


  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand our sustainability consulting services, with a focus on B Corp certification and carbon assessments.
  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their sustainability needs and propose customised solutions that align with their goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals, presentations, and other materials to support client acquisition efforts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decisionmakers and stakeholders in target industries to foster longterm partnerships and drive revenue growth.

Customer Success:


  • Take responsibility and manage customer engagement services.
  • Engage with long term customers to understand their needs and experiences working with Future Shift.
  • Create and oversee processes that enable feedbackled product and service development
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders fostering longterm client relationships that drive revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in sustainability, environmental science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sustainability, with a focus on B Corp certification and carbon assessments as a bonus.
  • Deep understanding of B Corp standards, assessment criteria, and the certification process.
  • Expertise in conducting carbon footprint assessments and familiarity with carbon accounting methodologies (e.g., GHG Protocol).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in excel, with the ability to interpret complex data to
