Tezlom have a great opportunity for a
Team Leader to join the lovely team here in
Foulridge.
You will be supporting up to 5 individuals providing residential care and education in a setting for children young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Complex Needs with associated challenging behavior and young people with SEBD.
This role is perfect for individuals that hold a genuine passion for supporting and improving the lives of young people.
It's an extremely rewarding role and you'd be joining a team of likeminded staff that put the care of the young people at the heart of everything they do.
The role:
- You will lead and supervise care staff daytoday, working alongside them
- Complete regular staff appraisals
- Take responsibility for case managing residents, liaising with families, health professionals to ensure the highest quality care plans are created and delivered
- To attend review and planning meetings to provide information and achieve the best outcome for young people
- Provide supervision and support to staff in line with Children's Homes Regulations
- Ensure young people are safe guarded as appropriate
- Complete spot checks
- Share oncall duties on a monthly rota
- Share sleepin and working online duties on a monthly rota
- Create and promote opportunities for each young person to have regular contact with and visits from parents, guardians, relatives and friends
- Ensure there is good communication between members of care team, both facetoface contact as well as through handover and other meetings
It is required to have a minimum of 2 year's experience in a care setting and team leadership, and preferably an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care - Children and Young People or be willing to complete within 2 years of commencing post.
