Progressive Sports is seeking a Behaviour Mentor & Sports Coach.

Mentor & Coaching:
This position is for Part-time (20 hours week) program.


Location:
Manchester, Greater Manchester


Hours:
Monday-Friday (excepting some holidays) from 9:00am-15:00pm

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Sports Coach to join our team and help reengage children who have been expelled from school.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement engaging sports programs tailored to the needs and abilities of the young students, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and personal growth.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where expelled children can thrive and develop confidence, selfdiscipline, and positive selfesteem.
  • Provide individualised attention and support to each child, ensuring their unique needs and challenges are addressed.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external organisations to ensure a holistic approach to the children's development and reintegration into the education system.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of each child, providing timely feedback and implementing necessary adjustments to the coaching program.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a sports coach, preferably with a focus on working with children.
  • Knowledge of various sports and the ability to tailor coaching techniques to meet the specific needs of children.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by children and a compassionate approach to supporting their individual journeys.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with children and their families.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, even in challenging situations.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications in coaching or sportsrelated fields are desirable.
