Roles and Responsibilities

Academic Coordinator/Lecturer


Off term duties:

  • To help in the development and implementation of study materials and curriculum programmes that will meet national standards
  • To work with curriculum developers, principal, college boards and lecturers to create effective curriculums, teaching and academic support material to enhance student learning and achievement
  • To coordinate with the Programme Manager/Leader for faculty searches and maintain faculty search database
  • To assist the Programme Manager/Leader manage induction, training and rearrangement where applicable for new faculties
  • To provide support and guidance to academic trainees
  • To assist the programme team in administrative and other day to day activities to manage the programmes effectively, professionally and timely
  • To develop and manage comprehensive academic support programme
  • To assist in updating course content and instruction methodologies each term on
Moodle

  • To assist in the development of course modules and programmes
  • To assist in the assessment of students work during off term

Term time duties:

  • To coordinate with lecturers to develop lesson plans and teaching material
  • To work with lecturers and student representatives to address students' behavioural, academic and other problems
  • To prepare and maintain student records according to the College policies and department regulations where applicable
  • To assist students on course selection, study skills and career selection
  • To assess and implement academic trends in the classroom and department
  • To provide guidance to students on academic goals and educational issues
  • To collaborate with faculty to conduct new student workshops and trainings
  • To assist in selecting right student representatives
  • To assist in managing timetables, rooms and instructional supplies for classes, workshops and other study programmes
  • Delivering lectures and conducting presentations
  • Designing, preparing and developing courses, modules and teaching materials
  • Providing feedback where required and appropriately

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract


Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
