Junior Software Engineer (PHP) | Cardiff / Remote | Up to £35,000 | Fintech
Yolk Recruitment are working with an exciting product led fintech looking to bring their engineering team in house. They're searching PHP Engineers at all levels to join the team, including an ambitious junior developer.

The company are a well established start up operating within automotive finance.

Their engineering has historically been outsourced however due to new investment & ambitious growth plans they're looking to bring it in house.

They're looking for 4 Engineersat varying levels to start with, with likely more hires in the near future. Their platform is currently built in PHP / Laravel on the backend & JavaScript / React on the frontend


They are based in Cardiff but the role can be mostly remote with occasional travel into the office when required.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Developing and delivering features across the full stack (including use of modern PHP frameworks, frontend frameworks, HPCC and other tools)
  • Contributing to the effective design of new features and solutions
  • Input into project discussions, providing technical insight for product managers and designers
  • Providing technical input to our crossfunctional agile product development teams
  • Working closely with the product owner and project management to deliver timely products and enhancements

Skills Required:


  • Programming in PHP / Laravel
  • JavaScript (React) would be highly beneficial
  • Exposure to cloud based development (AWS / Azure)
  • Agile / Scrum based development

Main Benefits:
