Textiles Sewing Machinist


We have a very exciting opportunity for an Textiles Sewing Machinist to join our creative, bespoke client based Clayton West, Huddersfield (HD8).

You will be a part of a friendly, fast growing and bubbly team who are looking to take you under their wing within the Textiles industry


Benefits:


  • Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 4.30pm, Friday 7.45am to 3.15pm (no weekends)
- £21,840 Salary

  • Permanent contract
  • 30 days holiday
  • Free parking

Duties Include:


  • Use of an overlock machine
  • Changing the machine settings depending on the product and job required
  • Cutting and measuring of têxtile materials
  • Quality checking rugs, garments and various other têxtile products for any imperfections and recording these where necessary
  • Ensuring products are completed to the highest standards before passed to the packing area
  • Other duties when needed

Skills Required:


  • Applicants must have previous experience working with an overlock machine
  • Experience within an industrial or têxtiles environment would be a benefit but not essential
  • Brilliant eye for detail would be required
  • Own transport would be needed if you're not local to the HD8 area
  • Call Summer on between the hours of 8am 5pm Mon-Fri
