McCabe & Barton are partnered with a leading Clearing & Trading House in recruiting for an Automation Tester on an interim basis.

The role will be an initially for a 6 months contract with the view to extend.

Key skills and responsibilities:

Analyse business and Functional requirements in order to understand the use case / Test case for automation
Liaise with Manual Testers to understand the Test Scenarios / Test Cases and also the Test data requirements
Write automation files from test cases related to the functionality under change
Run test automation suites and debug issues
Propose, demonstrate and document best practise
Maintain Test execution scripts, documentation and results in the appropriate testing tools.
Log, monitor and retest found defects.
Provide regular updates on progress and/or issues relating to test activities.
Proactively learn new technical or product areas as required and effectively implement in the Test automation framework
Strong experience in Test Automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress
Strong experience in scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript or C++
Strong experience in parsing XML, JSON, CSV type of files while automating the tests
Must have financial services experience, Clearing and Trading experience desirable
Good time management skills, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
