This is a unique and excellent senior management opportunity to work within Group Finance which offers you an exciting and varied role including providing valuable support to the various finance teams across the Energia Group.


This is a great role to further develop your financial, commercial and leadership skills which make for a well-rounded professional.

It is suited to someone who is technically skilled, good at strategic thinking with great communication skills and has an excellent ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.


This is a pivotal role for the Group, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, technical accounting, and tax management for the Group.

Together with advising on structural considerations for key strategic transactions, managing relationships with various stakeholders and advisors, and ensuring compliance with Group financial and governance requirements.


Reporting to the Vice CFO, the Head of Group Finance will be responsible for all Group finance matters encompassing financial and management reporting and control, statutory and governance compliance, and tax strategy and compliance.

You will also act as advisor to the senior management teams across the Group on major strategic, business development and operational matters with particular focus on ensuring the appropriate financial processes and systems are in place including the technical accounting financial assessment of key strategic transactions.

As a member of the senior management team, you will also play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic direction of the Group to deliver profitable growth, ensuring enhanced financial performance, and optimising shareholder value.

What you'll need

  • A relevant degree.
  • Membership of a recognised, professional accountancy body.
  • Minimum of 5 years' post qualification experience, most recently in a senior financial role.
  • Proven experience of delivering strategic advice and support to senior management.
  • Possess strong proven commercial, financial and business acumen skills and be capable of leading change.
  • Proven capability to interpret all aspects of financial management and reporting and provide clear strategic advice and direction to Senior Management at a Director level.
  • Highly knowledgeable of technical accounting requirements in relation to financial reporting.
  • A high level of computer literacy with a sophisticated level of use relating to financial/ analytical tools and software packages.
  • Broad knowledge of taxation management.
