GENERAL SUMMARY


Reporting to the Operations lead, the Technical Planner is responsible for the Detailed Planning + Scheduling of Product assembly & Component completion, in line with order requirements.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning of Assembly start and completion, inspection activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Use SAP Planning software to Schedule manufacturing Work in line with order requirements to meet Customer 'on time delivery' dates.
  • Daily review of Schedule progress with regards to component delivery liaising with purchasing on exception items.
  • Daily review of manufacturing activities liaising with manufacturing facility
  • Manage NCR's as required.
  • Manage release of materials for subcontract process including liaising with shipping team.
  • Working closely with production team and project managers developing and communicating production plans that ensure customer commitments are recognised.
  • Expediting as required.
  • Attend project meetings to provide updates against schedule and issues as applicable.
  • Manage inspection dates between manufacturing site and project team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A comprehensive understanding of MRP planning and scheduling, preferably using SAP software
  • Good Mechanical engineering background preferred but not essential
  • Highly organised with excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Microsoft office skills

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Similar industry working environment is highly desirable
