    About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Wellbeing Engagement Specialist to join us working in our Warwick office on a hybrid basis.


The Health and Wellbeing Engagement Specialist plays a key role in driving the development, implementation and delivery of a health and wellbeing strategy and annual plan.

You will be supporting legal compliance and continual improvement across the management of physical, occupational, and psychological health risks, specifically promoting the management of these risks at an individual and business level.

A huge part of this role will involve you providing advice and presenting performance information specific to these risks.

You will be supporting the development and implementation of ET solutions to prevent, control and mitigate physical, occupational, and psychological health risks.


What you'll be doing:


  • To be the National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) specialist for wellbeing and health, including understanding and implementing best practice and continual improvement, to prevent, control and mitigate, mental, physical, and psychological health risks.
  • Ensuring NGET compliance against all relevant wellbeing and health legislation
  • Create NGET wellbeing and health performance data, aligned with Group and UK metrics and targets.
  • Support in the creation of Group and UK wellbeing and health campaigns
  • Support in the implementation, and legal compliance, of the Wellbeing Risk Assessment process and Mental Health programmes across NGET
  • Implement the Group and UK wellbeing and health campaigns; where additional need is seen create and implement NGET risk specific campaigns.
  • Use all available data to ensure indepth knowledge of realised and immerging health risks, feeding into the UK team to ensure specific NGET risks are known and supported by the UK strategy.
  • Use all available data to identify NGET's current and emerging wellbeing and health risks and use this data to set and deliver a range of riskbased programs and controls to focus on elimination, or reduction, of the potential for those risks to be realised.
  • Work with the Safety Team to ensure wellbeing and health risks and requirements are understood and all responsibilities are undertaken across NGET leaders.
  • Coordinate, develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent NGET's Health and Wellbeing Team at external events as required.
  • Promote a positive health and wellbeing culture through visible, proactive, and consistent influential behaviours.

About you:


  • Knowledge of UK Health and Wellbeing Legislation
  • Strong Experience in Stakeholder Management
  • Ability to Engage and influence senior management, line managers, employee representatives, and other specialist support in designing and adopting wellbeing and health programmes
  • Experience of delivering wellbeing and health programmes, ideally within a corporate setting
  • Evaluating, analysing, and reviewing the effectiveness of wellbeing and health programmes
  • Evaluating, analysing, and reviewing business wellbeing and health risks to deliver a riskbased approach.
  • Knowledge of UK health and wellbeing legislation
  • Experience of undertaking wellbeing risk assessments and implementing controls
  • Experience in facilitating team workshops and events.
  • Excellent organisational skills and delivering programs to time.

What you'll get:


You'll receive a competitive salary between £45,000 - £53,000 - dependent on capability and experience, 26 days holiday, a performance-based bonus and our double-matched pension contribution scheme means your pension could be worth up to 18% of your salary.
