About The Role


Location:
Ashford, Kent


Days & Hours:14 hours
- 3 hours on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 3.30pm-6.30pm and 5 hours on a Saturday 10am-3pm, with additional hours in the school holidays and to cover absences, these hours could be covered by more than one person.

Pay:
£14.50 per hour Monday to Friday Days, £15.50 per hour weekend and bank holidays, £9.50 per hour sleeping nights Monday to Friday £10.50 per hour sleeping nights weekends and bank holidays.

Driver required? Essential

Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, on duty and to attend training. Must have business insurance.

Essential Experience:
Experience/understanding of needs related to autism, learning difficulties, ADHD, speech and language delay and hearing difficulties.

Desirable:

Experience of working with children with special needs (This is preferred but enthusiasm, patience and willingness to learn is essential).

We are seeking a patient, caring and alert carer to support our client, a lovely 14 year old boy who has complex needs.

He is independently mobile with Autism, learning difficulties, ADHD speech and language delay. He lives in his family home in Ashford with his parents and their dog.


Your role will be to support our client to access and participate in educational, therapeutic and leisure activities, both inside and outside of the home.

You will be required to accompany him during activities and support him to participate to his optimum. This may require you to provide physical assistance, verbal prompting and use strategies to manage behaviour.
