We are currently seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to provide crucial 1-to-1 support to a child with behavioural needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a Year 3 class.


Role and Responsibilities:

As a Primary School Teaching Assistant working through M2 Education, your role will involve:

  • Providing personalized 1-to-1 support to a child with behavioural needs and ASD in a Year 3 classroom setting.
  • Collaborating with the school's teaching staff and special education team to implement tailored strategies that enhance the child's learning experience.
  • Assisting the child in managing their behaviours, emotions, and sensory sensitivities in the classroom environment.
  • Adapting and modifying learning materials and activities to accommodate the child's individual learning style and needs.
  • Documenting progress, challenges, and observations, and effectively communicating with the teaching team.

Requirements:


  • Relevant qualifications and experience in working within education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with young learners
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the children

  • Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
