The opportunity is to join the Strategic Sourcing Team which is responsible for managing the commercial food and packaging spend approx.

£1.6 billion for McDonald's UK & Ireland.

Working within the Supply Chain function the role focuses on shaping strategic sourcing strategies in collaboration with the wider cross functional teams to optimize the supply chain, ensuring McDonald's maintains a competitive advantage.

Working closely with quality, sustainability, product development and global sourcing teams, the role involves supporting Senior Consultants and the Sourcing Manager in implementing category strategies for specific product ranges and working with supplier to negotiate commercial terms to deliver the best food at the best prices to our restaurants.

What will my accountabilities be?

  • Develop and manage supplier relationships and processes that ensure continuous improvement within the parameters of cost, value, and service
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing pricing, developing category plans, and conducting supplier visits.
  • Category management, working with cross functional teams and suppliers demonstrating strong commercial acumen to create & deliver clear and compelling category plans
- balancing cost, quality and risk.

  • Maintain key target KPIs related to margin, stock, availability, digital metrics, and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiating commercial terms and present finalised recommendations with a wellthought out & clear rationale
  • Prioritise key projects within allocated categories to lead crossfunctional projects that optimise supply chain benefits
  • Lead Global &local business reporting requirements

What Team will I be a part?
You would be working within the Strategic Sourcing team as an integral part of the Supply Chain function.

In undertaking this work, it is important that you seek a collaborative approach with partners across the department and wider business.
