c. £32,000 pro rata plus a competitive 12% pension benefit


Annual Leave
25 days pro rata in year 1, increasing by 1 day/annum to 28 days

We are looking for a creative and innovative communicator who enjoys using their initiative to develop strategic and engaging content for BirdLife's global flyways programme.


This role will include supporting the development of a flyway strategy and identifying key target audiences, as well as coordinating with regional and global Communications Officers to ensure the integration of BirdLife's flyways brand across all of our communications.


  • Internal and/or external communications experience or relevant qualification
  • Knowledge of global environmental issues and international conservation issues. Bird and science knowledge would be considered an asset.
  • A proven track record in creating content, writing and editing to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to reach multiple types of stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing and generating effective content for a range of channels such as social media and intranet would be an advantage.
