Description of the Business Line or Department


DFIN is responsible for the maintenance of accounting records, production of statutory accounts, production of Group financial accounts, production of financial reports to the regulators, liaising with the middle and front offices on maintenance of existing structures as well as new business initiatives across SG's UK booking platforms.


The Department SG Kleinwort Hambros DFIN team is responsible for the Financial Accounting, FINREP and LIQREP reporting for SG Kleinwort Hambros Group.


The key objectives of the department are to provide financial supervision and production services for SG Kleinwort Hambros Group in relation to submission of monthly and quarterly reporting to SG Paris, quarterly FINREP reporting to the PRA and year end Statutory Accounts production and LIQREP production to SG Paris.


The FINREP/LIQREP team provides assistance and are involved with other team functions such as Treasury, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Financial Risk and Compliance.

The teams engage in discussions and support various ongoing projects and initiatives.


Summary of the key purposes of the role

  • Working within Run the Bank (RTB) area of the FINREP/LIQREP team this role will assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly FINREP submission for Kleinwort Hambros to SG Paris Group and to the Local Regulator.
  • Assisting in the production of the AMM and FINREP submissions as well as contribution and cover of tasks across the Kleinwort Hambros Group FINREP/ LIQREP Regulatory Reporting
  • Working within the production team and ensuring timetables and production tool kits are in place and deadlines are met with review time allocated and issues tracked and escalated as appropriate. Proactively seeking improvements and efficiencies in all areas.
  • Coordination with Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and Regulatory Reporting teams
  • Assistance and involvement with other team functions, engaging in business liaison discussions and various ongoing FINREP and LIQREP projects.

Summary of responsibilities

  • Assistance with the preparation of Local FINREP Reporting.
  • Assistance with the production of the Additional Monitoring Matrix (AMM) for Group Reporting and local reporting
  • Delivery of FINREP processes including data enrichment, mapping, reconciliation and adjustments.
  • Provide analysis to support submissions and provide enhancement and improved data quality for subsequent submissions.
  • Provide back up for Daily/ Monthly liquidity reporting as required.
  • Manage, implement and maintain the highest quality reporting controls ensuring the completeness and accuracy of this regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in project work carried out by the FINREP/ LIQREP team including those related to system upgrades and changes to Platforms and business structure changes.
  • Actively participating in the implementation of new reporting requirements including new products and upgrades to systems as necessary
  • Ensure all working procedures are up to date and incorporate all changes from changes in business process changes, Accounting Standard requirements and Regulatory Reporting updates.
  • Working and collaborating with Risk, ALM, REG and wider Finance stakeholders to ensure the provision of quality information within strict deadlines.
  • Maintaining compliance with key regulatory demands and improving the quality of reporting as well as information communicated to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the preparation of the communication with the PRA and the Group
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the principles outlined in the KH Code of Conduct, as well as the policies and procedures relevant to your responsibilities, to ensure that you adhere to a culture that treats clients fairly and focuses on the long term sustainability of client relationships
