Reports to Head of Client & Market Development (CMD):

The purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of all Group marketing activities, in an innovative manner that is both aligned to the Aztec Group brand values, culture and strategic business goals but is agile enough to flex with the needs, tactical requirements and characteristics of our global business.


This role forms a key part of the wider CMD Leadership team; working together with Business Development and Client Insights to strategically drive the Aztec Group brand across a variety of target audiences, asset classes, including prospective and existing clients, key business influencers as well as prospective employees.

Engaging at Group Board level will also be required.


Supporting an ambitious growth strategy, the Head of Marketing will have an active awareness of asset class and services business plans and an in-depth understanding of both market and competitor activity, globally.


Key responsibilities:


  • Deliver key strategic marketing initiatives:
  • Redevelopment of the Aztec website
  • Global brand refresh project brand evolution, launch and execution
  • Development and implementation of Global Omni channel marketing strategy
  • Lead and develop a highperforming team of 1520 strategic and brand activation professionals to deliver audiencecentric marketing initiatives, identifying and addressing skills and knowledge gaps and implementing an appropriate org structure to address these.
  • Work closely with the Group Heads, Business and Client Development leads and the wider business, utilising accountbased marketing to create sophisticated, personalised campaigns, differentiating our 'Bright Alternative' brand, across multiple channels to target and nurture key prospects and enhance growth of existing client accounts. Ability to distil broad strategy into key tactical components.
  • Develop differentiated client propositions which put client needs at the forefront of client conversations, through effective business development tools and marketing tactics.
  • Drive effective marketing automation throughout our campaigns to ensure we deliver leads into the pipeline and nurture those leads effectively to optimise outcomes.
  • Deliver reporting which clearly demonstrates the impact of marketing initiatives against business objectives to ensure ROI is achieved, developing recommendations for future improvements.
  • Design and deliver a three year transformation plan for the marketing function, in addition to developing and managing a detailed annual plan and budget.
  • Ensure company policy, professional and regulatory guidelines are adhered to.
  • Manage third party supplier relationships including agencies, event suppliers and contractors to deliver marketing initiatives.

Skills, knowledge, expertise:


  • Global marketing experience coupled with the gravitas of 10+ years' experience to be able to support our growth globally.
  • Evidence of clearly defined and executed marketing strategy, planning and automation.
  • Excellent professional services and alternative assets knowledge is essential.
  • Parallel sector experience in investment, insurance, banking, legal, consulting would all be beneficial.
  • Innovative and inspirational leadership and teamcoaching skills. Proven evidence of engaging team and others with humility, balance and challenge whilst fostering an effective feedback culture.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, developing close working relationships with colleagues, and key business contacts.
  • Strong communicator with gravitas and impact. Collaborative and resilient under pressure.
  • Indepth knowledge of data driven, decision making using Salesforce intel.
  • Sophisticated approach to SEO, PPC, social media, online and content management.
  • Professional Marketing qualification.


You will need to be quick to learn new systems and great with people, as close working relationships between our colleagues and clients are at the heart of what we do.
