Chelmsford City Council has an excellent track record of securing planning contributions through development via S106 agreements and the Community Infrastructure Levy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Economic Development & Implementation Team for a Planning Contributions Officer.

This will involve managing the Council's approach to securing developer contributions and to work with partner organisations & local communities to ensure that the funding delivers a range of strategic and community infrastructure.


The role will give you the opportunity to lead on the collection and expenditure of planning contributions secured via S106 agreements and the Community Infrastructure Levy to ensure that Chelmsford's growth is supported by new infrastructure.

The successful applicant will also assist in managing the Council's Community Funding Scheme.

The role will include working internally with other Council Service Areas, elected Members, developers and external partners, within a small friendly Team.


This position is advertised as full time, however part-time hours of at least 30 hours per week will be considered.

Interviews will be held week commencing 27th March.
