    About Us:

    We are a leading Technology Services Group, seeking to recruit a privacy lawyer to join our in-house legal team due to business growth.

    Our client is globally recognised as being at the forefront of new technology and regularly provides services in the field of SaaS & Data Licensing, API Development, Robotics & Automation, Digital Transformation Cybersecurity, Cloud Services, IT Infrastructure (Migration & Integration) & Managed Services.

    Responsibilities:

    • Data Protection Advice: Reviewing and negotiating contractual data protection terms to support delivery of the client MSA and SLA agreements.
    • Impact Assessments: Conducting data protection impact assessments to ensure the firm protects personal data when conducting a broad range of data processing activities.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Providing data protection advice on internal and client-facing projects in support of the firm's innovation and change agendas, including in relation to generative AI.
    • Data Incident Management: Advising in relation to data incidents, data subject rights and regulatory requests, to help the firm manage its relationships with clients, data subjects and regulators.
    • Training and Development: Horizon-scanning and preparation of guidance and training materials, to ensure the firm remains at the leading edge in an environment of fast-paced regulatory change.
    • Cross-Border Issues: Dealing with cross-border data protection issues, with global clients and across the company Network.
    • Team Supervision: Supervising and developing junior members of the team to deepen our data protection expertise and build resilience.
    • Inclusive Team Culture: Working alongside diverse teams including in certain European geographies within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

    Requirements:

    • PQE: 2-5+ PQE lawyer with experience advising on data privacy and GDPR.
