Brief Job Description:


The key task of the SENCO is to ensure that Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision is both efficiently and effectively managed.

The range of responsibilities delegated to the SENCO with regard to provision and coordination is outlined below. It is expected that all legal and statutory requirements are met for students with SEN via the SENCO.

About Hartshill Academy

Hartshill Academy is a secondary academy in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, for pupils aged 11-16.

Hartshill Academy is set in extensive grounds and the catchment covers very diverse urban and rural areas.

This is a very exciting time for Hartshill Academy as we prepare for the move to our new building in September 2023.

We are very fortunate to be one of the 50 schools chosen nationally as part of this project and we are all looking forward to the new opportunities this will bring.
