Our Need - You

More specifically
This is a senior technical role that will blend both deep domain and technical expertise.


We're asking you to:

- master a complex domain and technology;
- contribute to the design and direction of the platform;
- implement robust and future-proof technical solutions;
- involve yourself in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment;
- lead a team of engineers.


You have at least seven years of proven experience in:

  • encouraging, mentoring and motivating those around you.
- the J2EE technology stack, particularly with Oracle products;
- development and administrative Oracle database skills;
- build and deployment technologies;
- agile planning practices including backlog management;


Other helpful skills for this role include:

  • knowledge of the Fadata INSIS insurance process platform;
- experience in the Protection industry;
- examples of Oracle performance optimisation.


Location and Hybrid working
The role is based in Edinburgh. Our approach to hybrid working is still emerging. Currently we're fully remote though you may choose to join other colleagues in the office.
In the future you might be expected to come into the office up to two days per week.
