The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Capstan Setter for our Wolverhampton based client.


Hours:08:00-16:30pm Monday - Friday


Payrate:
£12.50 / depending on experience


General Duties

  • To set up and operate Capstan lathes from job card, works order and/or engineering drawing.
  • Set, maintain, and use threading equipment such as Fette, Coventry die heads and landis
  • Select correct types of tools and grades suitable to the material to be machined.
  • Measure and inspect the work produced in line with QA standards and instructions.
  • Ensure production is conducted in a timely manner to meet customer delivery.
  • Record production output and notify the production department of completed jobs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machine tools as required.
  • Observe all safe working practices.
  • Make recommendations for improvement wherever possible.
