THE ROLE:

This is a new leadership position in the Faculty of Science and Health and within the University.

The post holder will play a lead role in the delivery of a major new strategic partnership with King's College London (KCL) to deliver a Branch of the KCL MBBS GEM course at the University of Portsmouth from August 2024.

This is of strategic importance to the University and region, intending to help address the health and wellbeing needs of the Portsmouth, South East Hampshire and Isle of Wight health and care system.


The Assessment Lead will be responsible for the maintenance of robust and effective assessments in the clinical environment, with the aim of producing capable and safe doctors by the end of their UG training.

The programme will introduce clinical skills to the student experience for students to develop excellence in diagnostic and practical skills, as well as communication skills with patients and colleagues.


Students will be assessed on practical skills:
in the clinical skills centre but also in a clinical environment.

This appointment is a fixed-term honorary contract until 31 July 2025.
