Support Care Coordinator, Sylviancare Southampton & New Forest
Salary between £ £22.500 depending on experience
As part of our continued growth a new opportunity arise for a Support Care Coordinator to join the team in Southampton.
The role of a Support Care Coordinator has many aspects with the principal duties being to ensure the efficient running of our care service alongside the Care coordinator in a manner that demonstrates high standards by exceeding the needs of the customer.
You will be responsible for gaining a full awareness of the care coordination needs of the business to enable us to provide high quality services, meet the regulatory requirements, and effectively support the team to deliver a high quality service.
You will work creatively and flexibly to support the business to meet its' desired outcomes with a professional and supportive approach.
A key element of the role is the ability to communicate effectively and build long lasting relationships with our clients, their family and friends, staff and health and social care professionals in an inclusive, enabling and empowering way.
As a Support Care Coordinator, you will be required to regularly take part in the branch "on-call" rota.The duties of the successful Support Care Coordinator will include but not limited to are:
- Planning, allocating and coordinating a team of care workers and managing their workload alongside the care coordinator.
- Dealing with telephone enquiries and general day to day running of the office.
- Liaising and providing day to day support and service to carers and Clients.
- Ensuring that all holiday, sickness, working time regulations, availability and all other records are updated accurately, as changes occur.
- Assisting with the recruitment and selection of new care staff.
- What skills and experience will our new Support Care Coordinator have:
- A minimum of 1 year previous experience in a similar role;
- Selfmotivated and able to identify opportunities;
- Tenacious and resilient;
- Driven and determined to achieve targets and objectives;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to prioritise and escalate where necessary;
- Customer focused approach;
- Confident and persuasive communicator;
- Demonstrable questioning and listening skills;
- Effective time management and organisational skills;
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- minimum required.
- Driving license is mandatory
