Hollymount Dementia Care Centre has an opportunity for someone who would like daytime flexible hours. The role will be to support our lovely residents as a kitchen assistant. The hours of work are 8am - 2pm and can be flexible around breakfast club times.

As a kitchen assistant, you will support the homes chefs and cooks to prepare, organise and serve meals. You will also look to enhance the dining room experience as the front of house server during meal times.

You may be wondering, what will a normal shift look like?
You will be working under the guidance of a cook or chef manager. Your job is to ensure that the kitchen is clean and operational. In our kitchen, you may also be involved in preparing some ingredients alongside our cook or chef.

But your main duties will include

Serving food & drink,
Preparing the residents brew & snack trolleys and service,
Washing or loading dishwashers with utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately,
Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients,
Assist in meal preparation and food production in the kitchen,
Assist in waste management,
Help with cleaning and maintaining kitchen and dining room,
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
