Our client is a leading international manufacturing business supplying products into the construction industry.

Following internal promotions, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant to join the business as Finance Manager for the UK based near Coalville Jct 22 and therefore easily accessible from across the East Midlands


Reporting into the Finance Manager, this is a key role for the business working across both Financial and Management Accounting whilst leading an Operational Finance Team.


  • Manage AP and Treasury
  • Main point of contact for external auditors
  • Month end/year end reporting to strict deadline to meet group requirements


  • Cost analysis

  • Cost of sales and general overheads against prior periods and budget
  • Support other departments with information required such as Marketing and Warehouse
  • Maintain Corporate Process Regulations
  • Assist in forecast/budget and audit
General Overview

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Treasury roles
  • Month end process including financial reporting to specific deadlines
  • Review weekly/ monthly payments
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Submit VAT Returns in a timely manner


  • Cost analysis
- monthly/YTD analysis against budget/prior year

  • Maintaining finance processes in line with corporate regulations
  • Review processes for improvement within Accounts Payable
  • Costs analysis such as Advertising and Promotion and liaising with the department heads
  • Assist in annual budget/forecasting and meet strict budget deadlines
  • Liaise with KPMG complying to audit requirements and ensuring the information is provided is accurate, clear and timely
  • Occasionally travel to branch in Ireland and premises in London.
Knowledge gained within FMCG, Retail, Construction of Manufacturing is highly desirable.

  • Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills, meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to interact with colleagues in both the UK and abroad, crossfunctional teams, and third parties
  • Observant and resourceful with a methodical approach
