AJ Mowers Ltd is located in Kingswood, Bristol. We focus on the sale, service and repair of mowers and groundcare equipment. We work on a wide variety of machinery including large mowing equipment for our commercial customers.

We need a part time driver (likely to be 2 days per week) to assist with the collection and delivery of these mowers and other equipment using a 3.5t slide and tilt recovery truck.

Given that our delivery schedule can sometimes be unpredictable (and affected by the seasons / weather), we're looking for someone who is also happy to help out around the workshop and yard (e.g.

steam cleaning machines and mowers, unpacking deliveries etc).


Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently transport the mowers and other groundcare machinery from the workshop to designated locations (and vice versa).
• Load and unload items from the vehicle with care and attention given that many of the items are expensive, technical items of machinery / equipment.
• Work closely with the office team to coordinate delivery details and plan the most effective routes.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and notify the office of any issues found.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a driver (ideally with a 3.5t slide and tilt recovery truck)
• Strong communication skills to interact with the office staff, customers, and other drivers on the road
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
• Familiarity with Satnav systems

£12.00-£14.00 per hour

• Driving: 5 years (required)
