£33,000 - £41,000 (dependant on experience) + Excellent Benefits

Role Overview


The purpose of this role is to design and test Key Controls to ensure we proactively comply with regulatory requirements and are managing risks appropriately.

Where deficiencies are identified in either the design or the operation of the control SMART actions defined are agreed with relevant stakeholders for remediation.


The Senior Control Assessor will work with stakeholders, deliver Executive reporting, and drive continuous improvement of the internal control environment and ensure they maintain high standards of record keeping, data quality and stakeholder management.


What You'll Do:

  • Support the Senior Control & Governance Manager to work with Senior Stakeholders to deliver the Annual Control Testing Plan, agree outcomes of control testing and manage the closure of actions before they become due
  • Work with stakeholders to capture the design of their key controls including descriptions, objectives, sample size, evidence and test conditions in a clear and concise format
  • Conduct key control testing in line with the annual plan, documented testing scripts and defined methodology to ensure consistency and high standards are maintained
  • Draft SMART actions and agree wording and target dates with control owner to address testing findings.
  • Prepare control performance reports and action tracking reports in a concise and accurate manner for distribution to senior management and key governance committees.

  • Strong interpersonal skills the ability to present confidently to varied audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail the ability to document controls and actions in a concise and accurate manner
