The role is flexible on location and can be based in either Coventry or Derby and will require you to travel across the Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy sites.

In this role you'll assist project managers to deliver a variety of projects across the Waste / Water treatment programme in accordance with NEC4 conditions of contract, supervising the quality, health, safety, environmental and programming aspects of contracts.


You'll liaise with the Site Supervisor Team Leader and business leads to prioritise site coverage and allocate workload to the site supervisors within the business unit.

You'll be taking part in managing Interfaces with local operators, third parties, customers, and contractors.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Delivering the standards/initiatives/improvements set by the business through the Site Supervisors working in that business unit.
  • Providing mentorship and support to the Site supervisors
  • Drive audit/inspection quality and frequency
  • Ensure a zero accidents culture is achieved
  • Preconstruction duties including Enabling and Investigation works and checks, approving risk and method statements
  • Undertake assurance testing of installed work (witness and sign off QA tests)
  • Ensure the works is constructed in accordance with the design and any proposed changed follow the correct protocol.
  • Undertake duties as delegated in NEC4 and CDM
  • Site management of stakeholders. Respond to and address incidents/accidents with the Project Manager and ensure the root cause is identified and actions taken to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Drive the projects to construction completion
  • Snag/defect management up to and after handover.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


You'll have
Construction experience within
NI treatment/NI waste/infra waste/infra water in a similar Engineering/ Site Supervisor role within a consultancy / contractor environment, as well as experience of managing site safety with relevant accreditations such as
IOSH/SMSTS.


You'll have effective communication being skilful in utilising the best strategies to communicate both positive and challenging messages.

You will be forward looking and proactive, looking ahead to anticipate problems and develop plans to overcome potential obstacles.


You'll hold a full UK Driving Licence.
