Working as part of the Eastern Pathology Alliance,you will be based at the QEH, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a cutting edge Laboratory encompassing Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Transfusion and Andrology.


You do not require any previous experience for this role as we will provide full training, we are looking for dedication,enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Main duties of the job

  • As post holder you will support the effective, consistent and efficient running of Spoke Blood Sciences services. Perform a range of routine and non-routine tasks within Specimen Reception and relevant laboratory areas.

    Obtain samples for biological testing, perform standard biological tests, process blood and other fluids for analysis ensuring sample integrity is maintained at all times.


This role requires the daily use of the Pathology IT systems to a high level of accuracy when inputting patient information and test data.

Ensure that all duties within their service are carried out in accordance with the Trust and Departmental policies.


To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.

You will be based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn but will be an employee of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and as such be part of a workforce of over 10,000 staff
