Support Worker
West Lothian
Hourly rate of £12.00 an hour.
Due to a new contract win, we are looking for Support Workers in West Lothian.
This is a brand new, purpose built building to eventually house 16 service users, in self contained fully furnished flats.
This package will offer a number of 24 hour package to include three 8 hour shifts, 7 days a week; 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and also a waking night shift 10pm-6am.
We can offer some flexibility on these shifts, as well as part time and full time hours, zero hour and contracted hour contracts.
We are looking to match the Support Workers with the individuals requirements to enable us to provide the best care possible.
You don't need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications - we're happy to work with you to help you become an excellent care worker.
Service User Specification:
- 35ys old female
- Mild learning disability ( struggles to control her emotions and can have aggressive outbursts.)
- Enjoys Arts and Crafts, Pamper Time and Photography.
- Likes Swimming, Trampolining and Cooking (with supervision)
- Likes having a timetable to know what she is doing
- Growing plants and gardening
Role Criteria:
- Support with her medication
- Prompting to wash/shower which can be done independently (May require assistance to ensure her hair is rinsed properly)
- Support may be required to ensure the correct clothing is selected for that days weather
- Requires supervision to make all meals and support to eat a healthy balanced diet
