BRUSH is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Director.

Reporting to the BRUSH CFO, this role will act as a key finance leader in the business, providing oversight and guidance for the overall performance of the business.

The role is key to defining andmeasuring how BRUSH Group will track and drive performance.

Managing an FP&A team, the scope of the role includes leading the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, capital appraisal and management, as well as financial modelling of longer-term strategic plans and scenarios, as the business pursues its growth strategy.

This role will drive profitability of the business through accurate and detailed reporting.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Reporting of the overall financial performance including KPIs, variance analysis, insight and commentary, directing and managing the Operational Finance Team
  • Preparing the monthly reporting pack and commentary for financial performance;
  • Working closely with the Commercial Finance Director and the Commercial teams providing commercial decision support
  • Leading and overseeing the budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Leading and overseeing business partnering with Operations teams, delivering their budgets and forecasting cycles and supporting commercial decision making
  • Actively reviewing and driving profitability of all business lines, identifying key cost drivers and offering cost reduction solutions
  • Driving detailed operational cash flow forecasting and proactive management with the management team
  • Providing high level analysis support and scenario planning to the Executive Leadership Team
  • Supporting in the evolution of the brands 3/5 year strategic plans, including the financial modelling, appraisals required and the associated capital investment plan
  • Oversight of capex, including management of capital spend to plan, ROI analysis and pre and post investment appraisals
  • Coaching and development of the wider finance team to ensure there is a highly skilled and engaged team with a pipeline of finance talent for the future.
  • Foster and build relationships across BRUSH group to understand risks and opportunities that the business is facing.

Person Specification

Qualifications:


  • CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) qualified

Skills & Experience:

  • Factory accounting experience essential
  • Budget / Forecasting in a factory costing environment
  • Experience of a Services or engineering businesses
  • Experience of WIP and Inventory management
  • Exemplary analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel capability
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and filter pressure to affect individual performance positively
  • Experience in manufacturing and services environments is essential.
  • Previous experience at senior finance level
  • Relevant years post qualification experience
  • Strong experience in financial modelling
