Playground Games is searching for a talented Material Artist to be part of our Forza Horizon team on a contract basis.

ABOUT US:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Material Artist, you will collaborate with the Environment Art team to develop textures for the game world.

Your role involves creating top-notch environment materials that set new standards for our game. Communication skills are essential as you'll be working closely with internal teams.

This contract position is based at our cutting-edge facilities in Royal Leamington Spa.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Collaborate with leads and stakeholders to establish texture and material workflows.
Produce high-quality environment materials for various assets, including terrains.
Contribute to setting benchmarks for different asset types and defining workflows for optimal outcomes.
Develop a base material library for asset creation purposes.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

A strong portfolio showcasing top-quality Material work.
Proficiency in PBR techniques and material authoring.
Expertise in software like Zbrush, Substance Suite, etc.
Deep understanding of art fundamentals and design principles.
Genuine love for video games.
Experience with photogrammetry and scan data utilization is a plus.
