Role Purpose


To grow the Foodservice business share in NI, with responsibility for sales, debt, margin and profit of the assigned sales team.

Manage, coach and develop the sales team to drive profitable sales in key customer groupings.


Area of Responsibility:

  • Support the team to exceed agreed territory sales and margin targets for the NI Foodservice business.
  • Support the team in developing their territory by securing new foodservice customers and to develop existing foodservice business through supply and range extension to maximise cost efficiencies and profitability.
  • Support the team in maintaining all accounts within Musgrave's credit terms.
  • Coach and develop sales team to drive profitable sales in key customer groupings.
  • Maintain territory management costs within allocated budgets, through good time management, resources management, and to ensure BDMs are using the most effective call pattern for each customer.
  • Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
  • Gather accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade field information.
  • Complete relevant administration duties.
  • Lead and liaise with all internal departments.
  • Resolve conflict through motivation and negotiation.
  • Deliver and execute the annual foodservice commercial plan.
  • Project management responsibilities including the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.
  • 2+ years' experience in a sales management role or commercial management role with a track record of delivering excellent results
  • Experience of successfully developing and delivering business initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong relationship management through works as part of team and effective engagement with stakeholders
  • Track record of delivering exceptional results.
  • Strategic thinker who can consider the longerterm options and devise end to end solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and influence effectively at all levels across the business
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • A sense of urgency, proactive with a strong work ethic
