Wage:
Up to £34,000 FTE per annum (This is to be prorated in accordance with contracted hours), plus local authority pension scheme, Employee Assist Programme and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (prorated)

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to manage the Facilities within our Outdoor Education Residential Centres.
If you have experience of working within a Health and Safety environment, supervising a team of staff and you are passionate about offering the highest level of customer service, then this may be the next role for you


If successful, you will manage our four outdoor education residential buildings, overseeing all of the health and safety compliance, ensuring all legislative requirements are met.

You will continually review and implement any changes to risk assessments to keep all of our staff and visitors safe.

Your role will be pivotal in maintaining all of our buildings to ensure they are fit for purpose, by deploying exceptional leadership skills and working collaboratively within the service area.


What we require from you

  • A relevant higherlevel qualification and evidence of ongoing continuous professional development
  • Essential
  • Proven knowledge of managing multiple buildings along with practical implementation of statutory safety inspections and testing programmes e.g., legionella, asbestos, electrical, fire safety systems

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with ability to work with senior members of the organisation

  • Proven experience of managing and developing employees within a service environment and maximising the performance of the team
  • Essential
  • Good awareness of Buildings H&S legislation with NEBOSH or IOSH certification
Experience of Fire safety, asbestos and legionella management and building risk assessments in these areas
